Invermere On-The-Lake

Nestled between the Purcell and Rocky Mountains, Invermere is the economic hub of the Windermere Valley. The town has around 3000 permanent residents and offers more amenities than most towns of its size. Just a few minutes drive from town you'll find world-class skiing and riding at Panorama Mountain Village, steaming natural hot pools at Radium and Fairmont, and two of the world's great mountain parks, Kootenay and Banff.

Summer and Winter Fun!

In winter, Panorama guests will enjoy a number of unique shops, excellent dining, ice-skating and nordic skiing on Lake Windermere, and hard-hitting hockey at the local arena.

In summer, boating on Lake Windermere and hiking in nearby mountain-lands attract significant numbers of visitors to the town. The Windermere Valley is 'cottage country' for many Albertans and in peak holiday periods the population can swell to between 20,000 and 30,000.
