This summer, be sure to try the Cross Country Trails, both right here at Panorama and in the local area. This is a great way to experience mountain biking for the first time and for the seasoned cross country trail rider to go the distance.
This new trail includes great technical sections, leg-burning up-hills and fast down-hills. All technical sections have a ride around, making it fun for everyone. Convenient and accessible, the trail-head is accessed close to the Upper Village, near tower 2 of the Mile 1 Quad.
Time: Approx. 45 min - 1.5 hours
Length: Approx. 6km
Experience fun down and up-hill sections on this double-track trail while taking in the beautiful views of the Purcell mountain range. Access this trail south of the bridge on Greywolf Drive. After peddling down a dirt road you can go back to the village or continue for another one kilometre to the Hale Hut. Alternatively you can access this trail from the top section of the Let it Ride downhill trail. Click here for the trail map to the Delphine Trail
Time: Approx. 1 - 2 hours return
Length: Approx. 10km
This paved multi-purpose loop is an easy to intermediate ride. From the village, the trail wraps around Greywolf before descending to Carrick’s Restaurant. The remainder of the 6km trail winds along the cool waters of Toby Creek. Some sections include steep up-hill and down-hill switch backs so please take caution and watch for pedestrians. Alternatively, start in the Lower Village for a more challenging up-hill loop. Click here for the trail map to the Valley Trail
Time: Approx. 30 min - 1 hour return
Length: Approx. 6km
Another great cross-country trail in the local area is the Johnson Trail. This trail can be accessed via the Lake Lillian parking lot off of Toby Creek Road, about 12km from Panorama Mountain Village. This fun and challenging intermediate trail has some great flowy sections, good climbs and technical decents. Click here for the Johnson Trail map
Time: Approx. 1.5 - 2 hours return
